Castle Ashby Marquee Wedding in Northampton
When I first met up with Poppy & Ben on the day of their engagement session, we also talked about their English countryside marquee wedding. I instantly knew it will blow my mind away! It sounded like perfection and I can tell you that it didn’t disappoint – AT ALL. Their wedding was complete with their friends and family celebrated at the groom’s parents’ private property in the English countryside.
When I hopped into my car at the end of the wedding day I felt full to the brim with love, fun, giggles and joy. It was such a special day and was a privilege to photograph. This was one of the most beautiful English countryside marquee wedding celebration.
At the end of May, I found myself in the beautiful Castle Ashby, a stunning village in Northamptonshire. Poppy and her bridesmaids were getting ready in style at the The Falcon Hotel cottage in Castle Ashby. As soon as I arrived I felt so welcomed! As usual, I began photographing all the beautiful bride’s details, carefully placed in one location. At the same time capturing the bride quietly and gracefully got ready. Poppy looked absolutely perfect as she stepped into her Emma Beaumont designed gown.
I first visited this church when I met Poppy & Ben for the first time and I instantly fell in love! St Mary Magdalene Church in Castle Ashby is one of the most charming churches I have ever photographed! This church offer outstanding beauty. On the wedding day, the church was adorned with lovely fresh baby’s breath flower arrangements beautifully arranged by Wilder Floral. As soon as everyone who stepped into the church instantly felt the air filled with the sweet fragrance of fresh baby’s breath flower. As the girls slowly arrived in cars along the gravel driveway, an excitement came over the group. And what a beautiful ceremony! The wedding ceremony at St Mary Magdalene Church was picture perfect! It was emotional, sweet and full of love too.
After the ceremony guests were treated to a champagne and canapé reception. I had the opportunity to capture some natural and relaxed moments that every couple cherishes! Finally guests were called in for the wedding breakfast which was in a truly incredible marquee overlooking the crop fields. After a delicious meal we were treated to an incredible series of speeches. Loved how the beautiful and romantic candle lit atmosphere filled the marquee during the whole evening.
After cake cutting it was time for opening the dance floor and fireworks and as guests enjoyed their time in the fullest I knew this wedding was a special place to be. The night ended dancing under the stars with a warm spring breeze as their closest friends and family showered them with love and celebration.
Below, you will find a thoughtfully chosen assortment of photographs of this beautiful summer marquee wedding held in the picturesque town of Castle Ashby, Nottinghamshire, hosted at a charming family farm.
